Off Tomorrow

Not long now. Mary has arrived. She's staying in our flat while we're away. Most of the packing is done. Nearly time for a celebratory curry at the Indiana.

The night before...

Good curry! All papers printed - boarding passes, hire car details, confirmation of booking at Toronto Plaza Hotel, directions from there to my friend Marjorie's house, where we're going to meet Harper, aged three, then off to dinner and a stroll at the beach. I confess I didn't know Toronto had a beach, but Marjorie must know what she's talking about! Excited now.

Lucky

I'm very lucky to have aunts and cousins living in strategic places from east to west (or west to east, but that's not our direction of travel this time) who are happy to have us to stay - and some of them haven't met us yet! We start by flying from Heathrow to Toronto on Friday. We should arrive in the afternoon. We plan to visit our friend Marjorie that evening, meet her three-year-old son and then go out for dinner...

First Steps

We're off to visit all our Canadian cousins in September. We're leaving England on Friday. Hopefully this blog will be up and running and friends and family (if they've nothing better to do) can find out what we're up to here.
